XENOTIX is a high-quality, water-based, solvent-free, silane-based water-repellent agent in cream form, which is a ready-to-use specialised product for the impregnation of concrete and reinforced concrete. Unlike conventional liquid products, XENOTIX can be applied to the desired film thickness in just one, or if necessary, two application steps. Thanks to its thixotropic and stable consistency, this ready-to-use material allows the required quantity to be applied with absolutely no wastage, thereby ensuring particularly deep penetration of the active ingredient into the substrate.
Thanks to its excellent penetration properties, the product provides deep-acting, long-lasting protection against the ingress of water, driving rain and gaseous or liquid pollutants. In contrast to purely superficial water-repellent effects, this deep-penetrating action specifically optimises the concrete’s internal resistance to freeze-thaw cycles and de-icing salt stress, whilst the initially moderate water-repellent effect only reaches its full visual effect after the first rainfall. The non-film-forming protective layer offers excellent resistance to alkalis and effectively prevents efflorescence and infestation by micro-organisms. Despite its high level of protection against external influences, the component’s water vapour permeability remains fully intact, and neither its structural properties nor the adhesion of subsequent protective coatings are adversely affected.
